When I was a little kid, until I reached 50 anyway, clowns always bothered me. Just seeing a clown at the circus or on t.v. would bother me. I used to sit and watch The Bozo Show with my son when he was about 6-yrs. old. He loved it. It weirded me out. Something about an adult putting on enormous amounts of makeup and playing with little kids...Then their obnoxious behavior is really freaky.
I see - not a clown - but, I see an evil clown! Big difference believe me. I can't really explain it though. My eyes used to get the size of dinner plates when a clown appeared on the horizon - from fear. I could sense them coming. Like some people, especially George Romero, can sense a zombie. Clowns are more dangerous though because they operate 24/7. When I see clowns now I still wonder what their purpose is. I mean, what is their real purpose? I believe that it has something to do with sending evil thoughts to little kids. Thoughts like eat all of your food or some little kid in Africa will starve, or don't masturbate-you'll go blind, and don't eat watermelon seeds or a vine will shoot out of your nose or your ass come to mind.
A lot of kids truly love clowns. That's either a well adjusted child or the sign of a born again clown - not many of those around I'm sure. I don't hate little Bozos mind you. I just think that they are some kind of messenger of darkness. Ever see Batman or The Dark Night? Now, you tell me what you think of clowns? Sorry, I'm just not into freaky faced, distorted looking creatures that like hanging out with little kids. Funny or not! If I ever see another clown in person, I'll assume that it's harmless, but that won't stop me from looking over my shoulder just in case. If clowns are meant to inject humor or laughter, then they should get into politics and out of my life.-Just the way I see it-Don.

"When I was a little kid, until I reached 50 anyway" lol - so you're a big kid now?
I've never found clowns anything but moderately amusing but you're sure not alone in your feelings about them as I'm sure you'll hear from other comments. The most evil of clowns has to be John Gacey of course - worse than any horror movie!
Bill: Yup...big kid now. I'd forgotten about Gacey. Wasn't he from Indiana? I remember him burying those bods under his house...dressing up as a clown for kid's parties too.
I think most people hate clowns. In fact I've only known one person in my entire life that loved them. That person just happened to be my grandmother who kept all her clown memorabilia in the room that I was suppose to sleep in when I would go stay with her. Oh how I remember those sleepless nights.
Yeah, clowns suck. I'm not scared of them, just don't think they're amusing. Unless you shoot them in the kneecaps. Then they don't speak like clowns anymore. They yell and cuss a lot. and bleed.
I once was with a woman who liked to have me wear a big red nose and "do it clown style."
Kind of freaky, I guess. But she did get really hot after we went to the clown parade in NJ.
I am with ya. Stephen King's IT did it for me. I am not of fan of clowns....
Dang it that hussy up there stole my comment!
Clownds ARE freaky! I guess the only clowns that I have loved were "Insane Clown Posse" and they scared me bit as well!
hehehe Clownds -- I meant Clowns of course!! Hussy had me flustered.
Thinkinfyou: I would have refused to go to my grandmother's if that was my option...I'd have camped in her backyard with my bb gun.
Matty: I've never knee-capped a clown. I'll bet that would be funny to see that screaming moron jumping around cussing.
Da Old Man: Do it "clown style"? What is that? Is that like doing it on a miniature bike? Clown fetish huh?
The Hussy Housewife: I remember It. I read that damn book because of the evil looking cover if I remember right.
AngieSS: You gotta watch old Hussy up there. She's got a clown's heart!
I completely agree with you. Not only are they not funny but they are scary, creepy, and intolerable for the most part. I think "It" did it in for me. That and the fact that most clowns seem like pedophiles.
TheFLy: Ha, ha...pedophiles! Yeah they do come across as some sort of pervs for sure.
Clowns are creepy and disturbing. They scared the living hell out of me when I was a kid and they still bother me as an adult.
All that maniacal laughter and leaping about is just plain creepy. There's no way around it...
The Hawg!: Don't you hate it when some jerk with overdone makeup and exaggerated hair and shoes tries to make you laugh? I either want to run or cut their bulbous nose off.
But the Joker was hawt.
Come on, admit it. He was... ;)
Ooh! I used to love the Bozo show! :) My friends and I would play that bucket game at home (Except I think we used paper bags or soemthing)...I still want that damn Schwinn bicycle!!!! :)
Clowns don't bother me a bit, and now that you finally got your big boy drawers on Don, you shouldn't be bothered by them either. LOL
