Is It Saturday Yet?

Midweek and I'm already waiting for the weekend.  What's up with that?  I don't mean to wish my life away, but ya know...shit happens.  It's time for change.  A change I can count on.  Yes, I can!  So, in the spirit of change I can believe in, I am going to begin working a four day work week.

That will give me three full days to enjoy.  I can get caught up on housecleaning and clothes washing and shopping.  I'll finally get around to dusting which I hate with a passion!  A four day work week will give me another day to work in the yard, clean out the garage and wash the car...

I'll be able to get my car to a shop for the day.  I can finally hang that ceiling fan I've been wanting to hang for six months, and paint my damn closets too.  Yes I can!  Damn, that sounds like a lot of work though.  Maybe I had better rethink my plan for change.  Don't rush into things.

That's it...I will think this out before jumping into a four day work week.  I can always get somebody to do the mowing, washing, painting and dusting.  I don't need that extra work and responsibility.  I'll just go back to my normal work schedule.  Why would I want another day off?  It's just too much work.

lol. Four day work week is NICE, but I probably wouldn't get any more done than I do now (at home and even less at work)

In the words of Billy Joel *sings*, "Don't go changin', to try and please me... ...I'll take you just the way you are."

We hate dusting - we hired someone to dust, turns out they hated dusting too. So good luck with that.

I love the links by the way. They both seemed to compliment each other. Pun intended.

I'm with you on keeping your work schedule the same. It is way too much work having an extra day off every week.

Have a terrific day. :)

Stacie's Madness: I know, but it sure sounds good. Until you stop to think about it anyway.

nonamedufus: That's about the way it seems to be. I'll go for a full week wishing I had a shorter week until I think about what may come with it.

Grace: I'll continue doing my own dusting I'm sure. At least once a month-maybe.

Sandee: You are one of the very few people that actually check the links. Often, there's more funny in those than one thinks.

I used to work four days a week. Loved it. Now I hardly work at all. Love it more.

4 day work week would be great except that they expect an extra 2 hours per day out of you to make up for the extra day off. I would think they would just be happy to have an extra day a week with me not there....lol

MikeWJ at Too Many Mornings: Yeah, think I'm am about ready to hang it up. Nah, not really, but sometimes a short week helps.

Ann: Well, you're not being there may be a reason they would like you off another day. Me? It doesn't work that way for me.

No offense but I wish I could work any days of the week. Not trying to be maudlin, sorry. There is more work at home than at work that is for sure.

Uh I'm supposed to work?

Don said...

ettarose: Why would that offend me? Hell, I just have as much to do when I'm not working than when I am. It's easier to be at work-not dusting.

MegaMan The Madman: Hell no! Not if you don't want to. In fact, you're welcome to come over and do some housecleaning.
