A cable news show's host posed a question to guests asking if they thought the murders at Ft. Hood, Tx. army post could have been avoided were it not for political correctness.It was brought out that so many in government are afraid of looking like a bigot if they criticize Islam or that they may be labeled an "Islamophobe".

I'm with you, I have had it up to my red neck with political correctness. It's time to get tough and call 'em like we see 'em. Here's one that really bugs me, the next time you read something about "the homeless", insert one of these terms: bums, hobos or derelicts.

PC and I parted ways a long time ago. For example, did you know you can't say Merry Christmas any more for fear of offending some religious groups (and presumably some non-religious groups). Yep, now you've got to limit yourself to wishing people "happy holidays". I wonder what Hallmark did with all those cards?
