Eat beef! I'll go for that over turkey any day. Fried turkey is good as is smoked turkey, but it's still turkey. Too many leftovers to deal with... Eat beef! I'll have mine medium rare, roasted asparagus, yams and homemade biscuits. Homemade using real lard! That homemade. Rum cake for dessert. Since the rum cake will only contain about one cup of rum that leaves enough left in the bottle to go around-or not. Well, ham isn't beef, but it's not turkey either. Ham sandwiches, Cheetos, Oreos and beer are the main fare today. With any luck I'll actually make that rum cake, but with football to watch and dirty jokes to tell with friends, cake is looking doubtful. Maybe next year.

Happy Thanksgiving! Cheetos and Oreos - orange fingers and chocolate teeth - to die for! Gotta dunk the Oreos in milk, though, and not unscrew them. I will be thinking of your fancy dinner today with envy as I sit down to my mother's Martha Stewart fare while my father and I make faces behind her back.
Lin: I think what I may do is serve the rum first and then eat the cake. That way everybody will say what a wonderful-and potent-rum cake I baked.

Tattoo Jim: I usually eat ham, roast, chicken straight from the bone anyway so yeah, no bread needed. Just extra paper towels or a shirt with long tails.
nonamedufus: I'm glued to the games too! I enjoy that part of Thanksgiving more than the camaraderie. I get that part at Christmas. Along with more football of course.
