Retuning Gifts...A Trip To Hell!

I never ask for anything for Christmas but very generic items like gift cards. Seriously...boring. That's what I like so deal with it. It makes it easier for everyone though. I know I can use gift cards, and the buyer doesn't have to brain fuck a gift idea for me. Simple!

Today is the day people will be doing their returns...gifts they don't want. The same folks that love to shop on black Friday probably love this day too. Crowds, crowds and more crowds. Factor in those, e.g., my roommate, who are shopping for after Christmas deals, and today will be a consumer madhouse.

Now my gifts don't look so damned boring do they?! I've got to go to America's store for groceries. I've got to take my roommate to only one store where she stocks up with Christmas items on sale. That's it! Then I'm in for fun, food and football. In other words, practice for New Year's eve! How easy is that?

I hate to shop so I don't go on black Friday or the day after Christmas. Are you going to wear your cleats today? Just wondering if you are going to be nice or play football with the shoppers again.

Have a terrific day Don. :)

Sandee: I'll wear and/or do whatever it takes to get through Wal Mart. My roommate is on her own while shopping for after Christmas deals though. I'm just her ride.

I have to settle for college basketball. The freezing rain's knocked out the satellite channel that's carrying the bowl game. Damn. At least I can take my time next week using all those gift cards for music and books. Great idea Don. No funny sweaters or underwear!

Hi,
I'm new here. Love your twisted sense of humor. I got stuck in the crowds at the supermarket on Christmas eve. Idiots pushing carts stop dead center in an aisle, park their carts there, and then wander off, causing a traffic jam. Not a good time to be out and about like Black Friday and today.

Love your blog.

Lauren: Thanks for the compliments Lauren. Just because of them you won't be charged your next visit here. ;)

Idiots! I don't understand why people don't avoid all the crowds by shopping online. That's a no-brainer. Good luck with your teams!

Dude.

It's 'African American Friday.'

It's like the politically correct police just passed you right by.

I've come to the point where I just don't want crap anymore; useless stuff that people feel compelled to purchase. I'm very into the gift card thing, too.
