Springtime. Prepping For Hell.

Summer is just around the corner, and boy do I dread those afternoon temperatures coming our way. If I had the means, I would load up the car with a few essentials, e.g. computer, and haul ass to the northwest somewhere. Maybe Montana.

Capt. Borodin on the Red October wanted to settle there and raise rabbits. Perhaps I could do it for him. Most rabbits die from the sweltering heat down here - or cars [swamp music].

Our spring last just long enough to clog up everything with pollen...including my nostrils. Then comes the mosquitoes and humidity! Holy shit! I can't wait! Since I didn't contract West Nile last year (thanks Africa) I'm not immune so I have that to look forward to again.

Spring is the most active time of the year for tornadoes here. However, I'd rather have 120 mile per hour of winds blowing through my hair than have sweat running down the crack of my friggin' arse for 120 damned days!

I just hope you all remember how much fucking fun I am in case I begin looking for a "summer retreat". Like with a friend. You know...a blogging buddy – living in the North. I can take care of myself and would be no trouble at all.  I could even bring my own rabbits.

Just a thought. I'm trying to think ahead before the heat engages my brain and bakes it again another year! Peace!

Well I live in central California so it's hot enough here. Dryer heat though. We still the the mosquitoes though. So you can't come here. Bwahahahahahaha.

Have a terrific day. :)

Yesterday the temperature here in Phoenix hit 80 degrees, summer is definitely on its way. Would you mind swinging through here to pick me up? Montana sounds awesome!

Um, ah, just how far North were you thinking of going, Don? Canada would be too far, right?

Sandee: Damned. I would have made a good pool boy too. At least I could be a cabana boy somewhere.

Me-Me King: How sweet. We could waise wabbits togetha in Wyoming. Not sure what to do with 'em, but it would kill enough time 'til October rolled around.

nonamedufus: Actually, I never gave Canada a thought until I read your post this morning. Those homemade "egg Mcmuffins" sure are looking mighty good.

Well Pennsylvania isn't so bad in the summer time, except for me I would prefer it be a little bit warmer.

Ah they'll start spraying for the blood suckers here at the OBX soon Don... next to sea gull shit and the tourists, the skeeter bites are what makes the locals here cringe... I guess I can get used to the gull shit and skeeter bits... it's those damn tourists that are worrisome... hmmmmmm, rabbits on the beach... now that could be fun, Don!!!!

I guess inviting you to make a summer visit down here in Central Florida wouldn't be a good idea, huh? Of course, you haven't lived until you'd stood on line in the heat and humidity for Splash Mountain for 3 hours...

Well Don, you could always come to here to the Maine coast. Average temp in the summer is in the mid-70s. No mosquitoes if you are close enough to the water. Stay away until end of June 'cause by then the black flies will be gone. Like TJ, we do have the tourists, but you're mean enough to keep them at a safe distance, so I think you'd be fine and they wouldn't...which is just the way it should be.

Ann: I spent some time in Pa. (eastern) one summer years ago. As I recall the temps were really nice. Or it may have been because I stayed inside a lot.

Tattoo Jim: I don't see how you folks living in a place like OBX tolerate tourism except for the fact it (tourism) keeps locals working and is the major source of revenue for most tourist places like that.

sharonheg: Thanks, but I get that weather right here although central Fl. would be a nice change of pace. Not too sure about Splash Mtn. though. Sounds like a tourist rip off.

I vote we all go to Deb's place to party for the summer. The Maine coast is awesome in the summer.

Deb: Hehehe. Thanks. Do you know that Maine is only one of about five states that I have yet to visit? I grew up with some people from Maine down here though. They never went back after visiting here. That's been forty years ago. Maybe they were wanted or something. Ha. Thanks. Maine may be a thought.

I have been wishing for spring to get here so I could get warm again and I know that in a short time I'll be complaining about the dreaded heat! Never happy unless I'm bitchin'

Mosquitoes are small animals that can not be rooted out, in every country and where there is always a mosquito.
